& Retinal Photography
Dr. Rich and his dedicated team of opticians stay current with the latest advancements in eye care and are experts in correcting vision and monitoring the overall health of the eye. Our thorough eye exams evaluate all aspects of eye health and include checking your peripheral vision, eye teaming, focusing, and tracking; no-puff glaucoma testing; refraction testing for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and/or astigmatism; prescriptions for corrective lenses if needed; retinal photography; and dry eye screening.
We use advanced optometry equipment such as the Goldmann Applanation Tonometer and retinal imaging to detect early signs of a wide range of health issues, such as:
- Cataracts
- Macular Degeneration
- Glaucoma
- Diabetes
- Corneal Dystrophies
- Hypertension
- High Blood Pressure
- Allergies
- Night Vision Issues
- Long-Term Vision Loss
Over the years, we have developed excellent relationships with Orange County’s most respected opthamologists and eye centers, such as Harvard Eye, NVision Eye Centers (LASIK), and the Tayani Institute and can provide referrals for treatment if we notice any causes for concern during your eye exam.
Relief From Dry Eyes With Effective Screening & Treatment
A.V. Eyes Optometry provides patients throughout Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills, Laguna Beach, and nearby areas with dry eye screening and effective treatment options. Dry eyes are caused by a dysfunction of the meibomian gland, which is located at the base of the eyelashes. If these glands dry up, they can stop producing enough tears to keep the eyes lubricated and cause itching, irritation, and redness. The most effective treatments for dry eyes include lid scrubs, warm compresses, eye drops, punctal plugs to preserve tears, and medication. After completing your dry eye screening, Dr. Rich will prescribe the most appropriate treatment for your eye health, personal lifestyle, and comfort.
